Shelter
03:26
|
|
||
I renounce words I've believed in.
I change my mind because of the wind.
Why do I shiver so much?
Where did I lose my calm?
Why am I shrinking so much?
Where can I hide myself?
When will I change?
So many dreams to myself I've sold,
now slaughtered, closed and hidden in void.
I am closing my eyes,
shelter myself in a mock world
that will shatter itself.
When do I understand
that I need to change?
I am the chicken that runs.
I am the coward that hides.
You can push me. I’ll fall.
Will it always be like that?
I will never change.
I won’t change

Starry night
05:39
|
|||
On a starry night, a very bright one,
we come out of homes and walk opposite sides of the streets.
A starry night, when people wander,
stubbornly locking their eyes on the tips of their shoes.
We try to avoid each other's eyes.
We try to avoid each other's eyes.
We are afraid of each other's direct sights
Oh starry night, how can I keep you longer?
We lay aside our wealth, to make you the crown of our roof.
Oh starry night, when each one wonders
how do we keep our feet directed away from home?
We try to evade all the ways home.
We try to evade all the ways home.
We choose paths that take us away from our homes
My lonely night, you bring solace.
You take away the fear of burden tied to happiness.
Oh, shiny moon, clear like a torrent
of honest tears that could never even come to life.
Oh starry night, you bring relief
and let the shame of life wash over me
Oh starry night, let me close my eyes,
give me space to breathe, and soothe me back to sleep.
We roam through the night to go astray.
We roam through the night to go astray.
We choose paths that take us away from our homes.
We try to avoid each other's eyes.
We try to avoid each other's eyes.
We try to avoid each other's eyes.
We try to avoid each other's eyes.
We are afraid of each other's direct sights

Interlude III
01:53
|
|||
Even when the hope dies
And the will slips out of your hand
The valley will take you as you are
The valley will be with you till the end
It will softly bristle with thorns.
It will hurt you with the greatest care
It will cover you with toxic rain
and dress you up with leaves of despair.
From under the moss the altar will grow
Dedicated only to you
Because your wounds are a womb
For a new world to be born
Do not be tough for yourself
You came by your own choice
Your pain was calling for you
And your scream will vanish in the valley

Valley
10:34
|
|||
Poison from my leaves
trickles and spoils a soil that keeps me alive.
It drowns my roots
with a crippling current choking my veins.
Have you ever been to the dark valley?
That’s covered with twisted thorns
and stretches of barren trees,
craving for a pale beam of light.
Why did you come here?
A resting, unconscious body
is lying on a meadow of iron grass.
It restores life back
while hurting and cutting all its limbs.
Every mindless step leading forward
reflects one of your inner fears.
Sweet nectar of internal waste
kills what has been left there alive.
Is this what you came for?
Let me out. Let me go.
Have you ever been to the dark valley?
That’s covered with twisted thorns
and stretches of barren trees,
the statues of abandoned dreams.
Is this what you came for?
Eventually, you will encounter
the blackbird with shady eyes.
It will greet you with undisguised scorn.
In the middle of the valley
lies a lonely stone
with a sentence engraved
that will hopefully help you escape.
The reward will never come until you suffer enough.
Don't blame yourself for what you've become.
Don't blame the reason that brought you here.

(intro)
I was said that this is the right way,
which I chose by myself.
This is the way I should follow.
Then the hesitation crawled in
Raising questions of what I’m missing.
And what is on the other side.
And my doubts dissolved my own path.
I moved onto an ever-branching road
where every path offered something new, something different:
humble paths, peculiar paths, and glorious ones.
And there were more and more of them.
Thousands of sirens calling: "come to me,"
louder and louder: "I dare you!"
And when I realized it was too late,
I got lost.
(the main part)
Come to me.
You swore that you seek me.
You said I have everything you want.
You said you'll take everything.
You said you'll drop whatever you hold.
You said you'll sacrifice yourself.
Let me drown in the depths.
Let me choke on salt from the sea.
Let the pressure crush my skull.
Let oxygen flush from my blood.
Let jellyfish make me dull.
Let sharks tear my body entirely apart.
Let nothing be left.
You know you don't want to dive,
even though you grieve on the mediocrity shore.
Let me drown in the depths.
Let me choke on salt from the sea.
Let the pressure crush my skull.
Let oxygen flush from my blood.
Let jellyfish make me dull.
Let sharks tear my body entirely apart.
Let nothing be left.
You know you don't let yourself dive,
even though you're more daunted by the shallows.
And when I stay here, alone at the shallows.
I'll be watching cold, serene sunshine. No one will come.
With my dignity thrown off, with a frail, imperfect body exposed.
I'll be crying ashamed in front of the night.
Even with my eyes closed, I can feel the incoming tide.
With my head full of deceptive dreams of achieving the right place.
And when I wake up anchored to the ground, ankle-deep in the sand.
I'll be watching others that swam away, others that took their chance.
I'll fade away filled with regret and bathed in my own tears.

Abyssal
08:10
|
|
||
Surface tension gets broken for the last time.
Final deep breath hungrily consumed.
The body froze, limbs went numb, and I’m falling.
And my cold hands in a stretched pose point to the sky.
Now I know they are getting close,
and their heartbeat deafens me.
Misanthropic inhuman beings
are conceitedly gliding over.
I'll be the carrier that brings the hatred between them,
and then I'll watch their dance of fury.
I'll be the bait that awakens their covert primal nature,
and maybe this will save me from the abyss.
An abyssal creature twelve meters long,
with a scaled body hiding soft flesh.
Salient corrupted monstrous outgrowths
and a grave in their eyes that pierces my mind.
I wonder how they look through clear eyes.
How terrified are they in daylight?
Their open mouths ready to scream,
but I am the one that will make the sound.
I'll be the carrier that brings the hatred between them,
and then I'll watch their dance of fury.
I'll be the bait that awakens their covert primal nature,
and maybe this will save me from the abyss.
They may be buried in their lairs.
Hidden deep down there.
But you know that they are already in your head.
Inside your head.
I am stretching my arms and legs.
I'm preparing to be a prey.
I am cursing all those damn creatures
and wish they'll soon be dead.
They'll tear my head and eat my brain.
They'll shred meat from my bones.
They will fight with each other.
They will kill but never gain.
Spit it out.
Now, they are looking at me.
My remains will float in the ocean,
but I will never fall into the abyss.
